I watched you play
I watched you grow
Through that old rusty
school bus window

I was the one with the ribbons
All colorful and weird
I tried to make you come near
‘Till I had a troublesome idea

I ran into the woods
I did everything by the book
I found the stones and the leaves
I stole your tears and learned your fears

The time was finally here
to make the spell
to form a bond
between me and you, my dear

In the ten whole years
of our existence
of playing with bricks
and chasing dreams

The time has come
for you to be my one
The spell is here
Let’s see if it’s real

On the hazy morning
I checked the empty seat
the one besides you
and right there I whispered

The spell was now unlocked
I sat there waiting for your love
You turned sincerely to say
with the almond-like eyes of yours

How weird I seem to be.
The ten-year-old child, me
could not really believe
Is it the spell or Is it me ?

I did everything in reverse
I had to find the fault
I was left with no love
And there it was

In the pages of the book
with a tiny font
I learned it would not work
if deep down I was a psycho
